Lets Get Started Early

Well folks, the season is over only a few days but whats our pre signings predictions for the next season?

Man utd to finish outside the top four due to no Tevez and Ronaldo and replacing them with Nani more regular.

Scottish senior football being overtaken by the far richer junior game.

Man City hiring Roman Abramovitch to wash the strips.

OR maybe something a bit more serious.

scotlands chances of reaching the street gang haven of South Africa?

Engerlunds chances of not taking themselves so serious?

Barcelona going to keep la liga from Kaka?

Boozegate: After some time has passed

First there was some fitba, v holland no less
but whent hey flew home they stayed up and had this
its fair to say they got a bit of flack for it all the next day as they were caught bang to rights having stayed up all night, so to answer thier critics and get it up manager george burley who benched them for the iceland game they used this old chesnut

But it all went wrong as by friday they were banned from Scotland national team and suspended from rangers, so much so this appeared on the tv at night, an apology, surely not. too little too late ya pair of halfwits

So tis a few weeks after the event, what are we thinking will happen to the boozegate two, what did we think at the time? you know, soem thoughts folks

Eh?

Does anyone have any idea who this bloke above is?

Il tell you shall i, its Ledley King. If any of you keep on top of your english football then this guy is supposedly up there with the best of them. I think i have missed the boat wi this guy, i know next to nothing about him but all im hearing is about how important he is to spurs and maybe england. i wouldnt know him if he walked up to me and punched me in the nose

He cant train because if he trains he cant play, he cant play two game in a row cos if he does he wont play again for weeks but he still got picked for england. oh he got sent home from the england camp though because he couldnt train today. Cant really fathom why he got picked if this is all well known facts.

anyway, the point i am wanting to make is that whatever he has i have never seen it, am i really missing out on knowing about the best centre back in world football. i mean the way he is revered on tv papers and radio you would think that this guy is the definition of class.

enlighten me please.

Who Will Fill The Goals in the Amsterdam ArenA?

Craig Gordon
<------ or
Alan McGregor? --->

i have to go with Craig Gordon on this one, regardless of his lack of first team opportunities at sunderland recently he is our only genuine world class player. personally i dont have a great deal of love for mcgregor, i think his worth is only seen by scottish media and rangers management team. better than lionel letizi yes, sadly not better than gordon. I feel he is a coward as a goalkeeper the way he protects himself using a straight leg as opposed to a bent knee shows this. Gordon has to play as he has shown his worth in smaller teams, hearts and sunderland and he is still the best player on their team and a real stand out in general, he will surely go on and play for a man u or arsenal or even go abroad and show his worth in other top euro leagues.

every national team needs a decent back up and mcgregor is it. think about francisco toldo, smashing keeper but if its him or gigi buffon then there is only one winner. I use that as a example as i genuinely see gordon in that class.

for mcgregor injury to gordon should be his only inroad.

agreed?

Lost!

Ok, here is a post to cut out and keep and return to whenever it all seems to much.

lets share theories and interesting thoughts and questions about stuff we may have forgot and answers to others questions if we know them, lets see if collectively we can get a handle on what the FUCK its all about.

I shall kick things off with a question, if someone can answer this for me that would be great cos i cant remember;

what happened to mr Ecko? how did he die?

Pass the Dutchie pon da left hand side.

Unbeknownst to myself, apparently Scotland have a wee game against Holland in 10 days. This shocks me, as once upon a time I was up on my national team fixtures. Whether it is the joys of dealing with BBC complaints at work all day, or general apathy towards the Scotland team, I don't know.

It makes me sad, because we were so close during the Euro qualifiers (I can still see McFadden turning to shoot in my head) and people seemed to have genuine hope and faith regarding the Scotland team. Nowadays, its all a bit 'meh'. And I know I am not alone in this feeling. I remember being in Curlers on Byers Road watching the Norway game, and bar that miss, no one was particuarly gutted when we only drew the match.

George Burley seems to be a factor for me. Nice guy, done well with Hearts, but he comes across as awkward. Even Wee Craigy Broon could do interviews and articulate, even if what he said was a load of guff. Doesn't help that he picks players who have only played once in a year (Hutton, who might end up being put up against Babel or someone despite not being fit) and Kirk Broadfoot.

Does anyone else share the country apathy? What does Scotland need to do to get the fans back with the national team? I hope there isn't another 6-0 scoreline, but I worry. Nothing about the team gives me any hope, from the top down. Maybe its the last campaigns fault, playing above ourselves, I don't know.

Uefa Champions League

Better get this party started then,

The Uefa Champions League, has it gone so stale you cany even pick the blue bits off and have it with toasted with plenty of jam in order to soften it up a bit?

(i should add that if you hadnt noticed, the analogy i am using is bread)

For me, to have 4 english teams in the last 8 kinda dilutes the premise, and its not just a the ridiuclous name i am alluding to either. Its the whole thing, there is no surprises as any surprise results are swallowed up due to the masive amounts of games.

the whole thing doesnt really bring out the best team on europe anymore, more the most resiliant rich team.

The cash swilling about the tournament is frightening and so much so that you cant afford to get beat rather than make an attempt to win. though the seconds legs were generally all excellent, the first legs were frankly pure and utter pish! And the money aspect has meant that Aston Villa are trying to fight there way in and actually giving up on actual cup holding success in order to get they weird euro notes lying in their hands next yr.

Your thoughts please.
